Peter Murphy - B.A., LL.B

Peter is a Director based in our Bairnsdale Office. Peter is an Accredited Specialist in Family and Criminal Law and has been practicing law in East Gippsland for more than 25 years. In addition to Criminal and Family Law, Peter has significant experience in Commercial Litigation, Will and Inheritance Disputes, Employment Law, Personal Injury Litigation, Discrimination Law and general Litigation. Peter is a former President of the Gippsland Law Association.

Peter has been involved in many community and sporting organisations over the years including Apex, West Bairnsdale Primary School Board, BTA and others. Peter is currently President of the Bairnsdale "Pelicans" a fund raising auxiliary of the Bairnsdale Hospital. Peter organised the successful "Pelican Walk" to the Kokoda Trail in 2006 and is currently preparing for another walk in Borneo in 2008.

Geoff Wigney - B.Ec., LL.B

Geoff is a Director based in our Lakes Entrance Office. He has been with Warren Graham & Murphy for 20 years and became a partner in 1994.

Geoff has a wide range of experience in all types of legal work including family law, commercial law, conveyancing, personal injury, litigation, probate and administration, criminal law and wills. Geoff has also had many dealings involving the local fishing industry including the purchase and sale of vessels, the transfer of licenses and dealing with issues concerning statutory fishing rights.

Geoff is well known and respected in the Lakes Entrance Community having been involved in many local community groups including Apex, the Lakes Entrance Business Tourism Association, the local cricket club, the Baptist Church and others.

Geoff's interests include family, fishing, cricket and playing the bass guitar.

Bill Jones - Dip. Law (S.A.B)

Bill is a Director based in our Sale office. He came to Warren Graham and Murphy in 2002 and became a partner in 2004.

Bill commenced his legal career in the N.S.W. Magistrates Court in 1980 and spent the next 8 years working in various courts throughout that State. He was admitted as a Solicitor in 1989 and was a Partner in a legal firm in Broken Hill for 11 years before moving to Warren Graham and Murphy.

Bill currently deals with all aspects of commercial law in Sale. He also handles the civil litigation practice, the probate and administration practice and the estate planning practice. Bill also has extensive experience in family law, criminal law and litigation matters.

Since moving to Sale Bill has become involved in various community activities. He is a former Treasurer of the Sale Football Club and is a current Board Member of the Sale Turf Club and the Gippsland Grammar School.

Rohan Hubbard - LL.B

Director, Bairnsdale Office and admitted to practice in 2001.

Areas of practice include Property Law-  commercial and residential sales and purchases subdivsions and planning issues; Commercial Law- sale and purchase of business, franchising, company and trust advice, business structuring,  joint venturing, leasing and advising a range of clients in a variety of business transactions.

Alison Tanner - B.A., LL.B

Alison Clare Tanner, B.A. L.L.B (Melbourne University) was admitted as a barrister and solicitor of the Victoria Supreme Court in 1995. She is a senior Associate of the firm.

Alison served two terms as a board member of East Gippsland Water and is currently serving her second term as a board member of East Gippsland Catchment Management Authority.

Alison practices mainly in the areas of commercial and estate planning law and has particular interests in: the provision of services to senior/elder clients - "elder law"; succession planning for farming families; natural resource (in particular water) management.

Penny Ceveri - B.Com. LL.B. (Hons)

Penny Ceveri was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of Australia and Supreme Court of Victoria in 1999. She is a Senior Associate of the firm, based in the Bairnsdale Office.

She commenced her legal career at Warren Graham and Murphy before working as a property lawyer in the Melbourne and Brisbane offices of a National law firm for in excess of 6 years, during which time her particular focus was property development.

Penny returned to Warren Graham and Murphy in 2008 in the areas of practice of Property Law, Commercial Law and Probate Law.

She is a local person having attending school in Bairnsdale and Sale. She has interests in travel and photography.

Andrea Simm - B.A., LL.B (Hons)

Andrea was admitted as a solicitor in 1999 and is based in our Sale office.

She has had extensive experience since being admitted in all aspects of legal work having worked in all of our offices at some time since commencing work with Warren Graham & Murphy.

Andrea currently handles the family law, defacto property, criminal law and children's court work including attending court regularly as an advocate in these areas. She also has experience with victims of crime claims, probate and administration work.

She is a local person having attended school in Sale and enjoys living and working in the area. She has a young family and enjoys reading and family orientated activities.

Bevan Clark - B.A., LL.B

Qualifications; Bachelor of Law. Bachelor of Journalism and Communications.

Bevan is second year solicitor at Warren Graham and Murphy Lakes Entrance. He completed his articles of clerkship under Peter Murphy at Bairnsdale and obtained his practising Certificate in 2006.

He enjoys travelling and relaxing with family and friends. He also maintains an interest in most sports and continues to be an active participant at the Lucknow Football Club.
